The Eagles are coming off their first dual meet win under new head coach Derek Perkins
MUNCIE, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team travels to Muncie, Ind. to take on Ball State University and Wabash College Saturday, Nov. 2. The Eagles are coming off their first dual meet win of the season against Mid-American Conference opponent Miami, 152-148, Oct. 26.
Against the RedHawks, EMU saw wins from freshman Savanna Mouat (Tecumseh, Ontario-All Saints) in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:19.95, senior Casey Gavigan (East Setauket, N.Y.-Ward Melville) in the 100 and 200 backstroke at 55.88 and 2:01.37, senior Brielle Johnston (Ottawa, Ontario-Catholique Franco-Quest) in 1-meter and 3-meter diving with marks of 270.91 and 252.68, and a 1:44.81 win in the 200 medley relay by senior Claire Young (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.-Grosse Pointe South), junior Elli Machado (Reading, Pa.-Exeter Township), junior Ali Staver (Bettendorf, Iowa-Pleasant Valley), and senior Amelia Armstrong-Grant (Ypsilanti, Mich.-Saline).
Ball State heads into the meet after dropping a 197-103 decision to Buffalo last weekend, Oct. 26, and beating Youngstown State, 211-88, Oct. 25.
