Eagles Host Miami for First Home Meet of the Season

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team will host its first home meet under head coach Derek Perkins Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. against Mid-American Conference opponent Miami.
This will be the first dual meet of the season for the Eagles after opening the 2019-20 campaign at Buffalo's quad meet, where the Eagles posted 14 top-three finishes for 585.9 points.
Additionally, this will be the first time the two sides have met in a dual meet since the 2017-18 season, when the Eagles took the win in Oxford, Ohio, 169-131. Meike Staffeldt (Niedrsachsen, Germany) picked up the win in the 100-yard freestyle with a mark of 51.71, and Casey Gavigan (East Setauket, N.Y.-Ward Melville) won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.70.
