Taylor Named MAC Setter of the Week

The senior set a career-high with 64 assists against Bowling Green, Oct. 19

Cleveland, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University volleyball senior Riley Taylor (Indianapolis, Ind.-Perry Meridian) was named the Mid-American Conference Setter of the Week, the league office announced today, Oct. 21.

The Indianapolis native tallied 41 assists against Miami, Oct. 18, and then followed that performance with a career-best 64 assists just one night later against Bowling Green, Oct. 19. Taylor has recorded 40-or-more assists in six straight contests, dating back to Oct. 3, and her 8.26 assists per set ranks seventh in the conference.

The senior setter also contributed 31 digs through the two match span.

Volleyball returns to action Thursday, Oct. 24 with a home match against MAC East foe Buffalo, at 7 p.m. The team will play its annual "Dig Pink," game Saturday, Oct. 26, against Akron, at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.
