Football To Hold Walk-on Tryouts

On Tuesday, Jan. 29, there will be a MANDATORY meeting held inside the football meeting room
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University Head Football Coach Chris Creighton has announced that walk-on football tryouts will take place Thursday, Feb. 7, beginning at 7 a.m. To try to walk on the team, an individual must be a current Eastern Michigan student enrolled in no less than 12 hours this semester and carry at least a 2.5 GPA.
All walk-on tryout participants must not only have the insurance form filled out, but must have proof of insurance as well. Participants must also have documentation for any injuries they have had and may need to have them reviewed by a physician before they are allowed to engage in any physical activity.
On Tuesday, Jan. 29, there will be a MANDATORY meeting held inside the football meeting room at the Convocation Center at 7 p.m.
Phase I:
Tuesday, Jan. 29 – 7 p.m. (Team Meeting Room): Mandatory Info Session (All materials handed out)
Items needed: EID#, Unofficial Transcript(s) (2.5 GPA or Higher) from all schools attended since high school graduation, High School Film, HS Coach Recommendation.
Tuesday, Feb. 5 – 12 p.m.
All materials submitted via e-mail or in-person to Will Temizer
Wednesday, Feb. 7 - 6 p.m.
Clearance from Compliance Office for Participation
Phase II:
Thursday, Feb. 7 - 7 a.m.
All student's that have successfully completed Phase I will participate in tryouts. 6:30 a.m. arrival at the EMU Indoor Practice Facility with tryouts starting at 7 a.m.
