Eastern Adds New Experiences to Football Game Days

New food options, tailgating experiences and ticket packages highlight the 2018 additions
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — As football returns to "The Factory" at Rynearson Stadium Friday, Aug. 31, the Eastern Michigan University Athletic Department is proud to announce new additions to the game day experience. Highlights of the game day enhancements include new food vendors, expanded tailgate zones, and a new temporary video board, making football in Ypsi a fun experience for the whole family.
New Food Vendors
Little Caesars is coming to Rynearson Stadium for its first season as the official pizza of Eastern Athletics. Located on the west side of the concourse, fans will be able to purchase pizza that is made fresh on-site while enjoying the game. In addition, Chick-fil-A® will be available to fans on both the main concourse and Touchdown Terrace. Along with the new vendors inside the stadium, Noodles and Company, Marco's Pizza, and Cottage Inn will be offering free samples of their delicious cuisine right outside the entrance to Rynearson.
Return of the Food Trucks
For back another season, food trucks will be located on the west concourse for fans to enjoy! Local businesses will bring the best food from around the area to chow down on as you take in an Eagles football game.
Kids Zone
The Kids Zone is making a big move inside Rynearson Stadium for the 2018 season. Fun for the whole family starts 90 minutes before kick with inflatables and games to pass the time until the Eagles take the field. Head to the south end of the west concourse to get your whole family jumpin' before game time!
Free Parking!
The parking lots on the west side of Hewitt Road will be free all season! The free parking is first come, first serve for all six home games. Convocation Center lots will require a pass for admission as the lots are reserved for VIP and season ticket holders.
Temporary Video Board
With the ongoing improvements to Rynearson Stadium, "The Factory" will be home to a temporary video board for the 2018 season. Coming in at over 19 feet tall and 33 foot wide, replays and graphics will aid in enhancing the in-stadium game experience. The temporary board is more than double what fans have been accustom to in previous years, as the old video screen was just 13 feet tall by 24 feet wide.
Eagle Walk
Come wish the Eagles luck as they prepare to enter the stadium with Eagle Walk, 2 hours 15 minutes before kick each home game. As the players exit the bus, fans can be the last to interact with the team as they head to "The Factory", and be an integral part of the player's pregame rituals.
Game Day Family Four Packs
If the new food vendors and fan experiences excited you, the new EMU ticket packages will surely blow your socks off! Experience all Rynearson stadium has to offer and cheer on your Eagles with the whole family as Family Four Packs start at just $40 on game day which includes four tickets. Student Tailgate Zone
We know our students are part of our team so we wanted to treat them as such – moving the student tailgate zone on to the gray turf of "The Factory". Located in the northwest corner of the field, students will find food options, televisions, charging zones and so much more.
Timeline for Opening Night Against Monmouth
- Parking Lots open at 3:30 p.m.
- Eagle Walk at 4:15 p.m.
- Gates open at 5 p.m.
- Kids Zone inside the stadium open at 5:05 p.m.
- Kickoff at 6:30 p.m.
- Eastern Lights between 3rd & 4th Quarters
