The former EMU quarterback owns the school's record for touchdown passes
BALTIMORE, Md. (EMUEagles.com) - Former Eastern Michigan University quarterback Brogan Roback (Maumee, Ohio-Toledo St. John's Jesuit) has been invited to the Baltimore Ravens rookie mini-camp.
The Toledo, Ohio native is one of four EMU players headed to a mini-camp this spring joining Sergio Bailey II (San Diego, Calif.-Olympian-Grossmont College) in Tampa Bay, Juan Giraldo (Gilbert, Ariz.-Mesquite-Mesa C.C.) with Arizona, and Ike Spearman (Saint John, Ind.-Lake Central) in Minnesota.
Roback will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play for Eastern Michigan, as he owns program records of 57 touchdown passes and 8,876 yards of total offense. He also ranks second all-time with 745 completions and 8,653 yards passing. To go along with the all-time school records, Roback also had one of the best careers of any active FBS quarterback. His passing yards were 12th among active QBs, while his yards of total offense ranked 13th.
In 2017, the Maumee, Ohio product ranked 27th nationally in passing yardage (2,890), 34th in passing touchdowns (19), and 36th in passing yards per game (240.8). A Third Team All-MAC selection, Roback set the standard for career touchdown passes against Central Michigan, Nov. 8, and career total offense against Miami, Nov. 15. Due to an injury suffered on Senior Day, he finished the year just 110 yards shy of joining Charlie Batch as the only quarterbacks in program history to pass for more than 3,000 yards in a season.
