Each week two Eagles will be honored for their success on the field
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Each week, the Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics names the EMUCU's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic media relations department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are women's basketball athlete, Jenna Annecchiarico, and men's football athlete, Mike Glass III.
Jenna Annecchiarico

Week's Achievements: Freshman Jenna Annecchiarico (Baldwin, N.Y.-Baldwin) led the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team to its third straight win with a 64-45 victory at Longwood, Dec. 15. Annechiarico scored 14 points and added seven assists, four rebounds, and a steal to pace the Eagles. Behind Annecchiarico's stout showing, EMU moved to 6-2 on the season. Additionally, she moved into ninth-place in EMU history in assists by a freshman.

Week's Achievements: Eastern Michigan junior quarterback Mike Glass III (St. Louis, Mo.-Hazelwood Central (Southwestern College)) turned in an impressive showing at the Camellia Bowl, Dec. 15. Glass III completed 17-of-25 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns. His three TDs tied the Camellia Bowl record. Additionally, his first-quarter 75-yard touchdown pass to Arthur Jackson was the second-longest TD pass in Camellia Bowl history, as well as the third-longest scoring play in the bowl's history.
