The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team had another strong showing on the second day of the Denison Invitational Friday, Nov. 30, inside Trumbull Aquatics Center. The Eagles posted two event wins in the 100 Back and 200 Medley Relay and eight top-five finishes to hold steady in second-place overall with 1,309.5 points.

Pacing the Eagles was a career-best time from sophomore Meike Staffeldt (Niedersachsen, Germany) in the 200 Freestyle and a 200 Medley relay win by junior Claire Young (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.-Grosse Pointe South), seniors Delaney Duncan (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) and Stephanie Johnston (Holland, Mich.-Hamilton), and sophomore Ali Staver (Bettendorf, Iowa-Pleasant Valley). The quad finished the Medley relay in just 1:40.15 to start off the evening session for the Eagles, the best finish of the season in the event for the Green and White.
