Apichonlati and Sripatrprasite each fired a 73 in the opening round

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – Sophomore Preaw Sripatrprasite (Bangkok, Thailand-Siam International) and freshman Green Apichonlati (Bangkok, Thailand-The Regent's International School) led the Eastern Michigan University women's golf team to a first-round 301 at the 41st Annual Pat Bradley Invitational. Overall, the Green and White are tied with Jacksonville and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in eighth-place among 15 teams on the par-72, 6,288-yard Cypress Lakes Course.
Southern Mississippi and McNeese State share the team after 18 holes, while USF's Natalia Villavicencio holds a slim one stroke lead over the field.
Sripatrprasite and Apichonlati fired identical rounds of 73 to tie for 17th. Senior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) added a 77, while junior Maria Connelly (Waterville, Ohio-Anthony Wayne) and freshman Abby Livingston (Novi, Mich.-Novi) rounded out the lineup with a 78 and an 88, respectively.
The tournament will continue with two more rounds on Monday, Oct. 22, and Tuesday, Oct. 23. Live stats will be available via BirdieFire.com and posted at EMUEagles.com each day.
