Wrestling Announces 2017 Golf Outing

The outing will take place Sunday, Oct. 22
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team has announced their annual golf outing will take place Sunday, Oct. 22 at Eagle Crest Golf Club located at 1275. S. Huron, Golf Club, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. The outing marks the unofficial start to the 2017-18 season for the team.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10 a.m. After the outing, lunch will be served and awards will be handed out. The incoming freshman class will also be introduced and opportunities to purchase team gear and season tickets will be offered as well.
The outing will coincide with homecoming weekend, with a tailgate and cornhole tournament taking place Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. before the football game against Western Michigan at 2 p.m.
Cost to play is $500 for a foursome and $125 for individual golfers, and includes 18 holes of golf a plated lunch at the social, an EMU hat, food and drinks at the homecoming tailgate, and two drink tickets at the golf outing. Various sponsorship opportunities are also available for purchase on the registration website. The deadline to register is Oct. 11.
