Women's Golf to Compete at Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team heads to Bloomington, Ind., for the IU Invitational, April 8-9. Competition will take place on at the IU Golf Course, a par 72 course with a total distance of 5,884 yards. The 54-hole tournament will feature a round of 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes to conclude on Sunday. Both days are set for 9 a.m. shotgun starts.
The tournament will host nine teams, including: Akron, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Indiana, IUPUI, Toledo, Western Michigan, Xavier.
EMU has not taken part in the even since 2013 when the squad claimed third-place with a 917. Sarah Johnson fired a final round 69 en route to finish in third, carding rounds of 79, 75 and 69 for a total score of 223.
