EMU Closes Out Competition at NCAA Zone Championships

Sophomore Gabrielle Mace was Eastern's top finisher, coming in 19th

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's swimming and diving team completed its time at the NCAA Zone Championships Friday, March 10.

On the men's side, freshman Noah Galluzzo (Mexico, N.Y.) scored 229.00 points on the 3-meter to come away with a 33rd-ranked finish.

Sophomore Gabrielle Mace paced the Eagles on the women's side, taking a 19th-place finish with 248.15 points. Freshman Brielle Johnston (Ottawa, Ontario-Catholique Franco-Quest) was just behind Mace, placing 20th with a score of 247.25.

Now, the Green and White turn its focus to NCAA Championships where Alexis Mitcheltree and Delaney Duncan will represent Eastern Michigan, March 15-18, in Indianapolis, Ind.
