INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team completed its first day of competition at the NCAA Championships Friday, March 17.
Sophomore Delaney Duncan (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) secured a 29th-place finish with a time of 1:00.58 in the 100 Breaststroke, while senior Alexis Mitcheltree (Moon Twp., Pa.-Moon Area) posted a 38th-place mark in the 100 Backstroke. Mitcheltree clocked in with a time of 53.29 to wrap up a top-40 time.
The duo returns to action tomorrow, March 18. Prelim swims begin at 10 a.m.
