CBS Sports Network Set To Televise EMU-NIU Game

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan-Northern Illinois football game, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 26, will kickoff at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. CT), the Mid-American Conference office announced today, Oct. 16. The game will be shown nationally on the CBS Sports Network. WEMU (89.1 FM) will provide audio coverage of the game from Huskie Stadium in DeKalb, Ill.
For channel availability, visit cbssportsnetwork.com or contact your local television provider. In the Ypsilanti area, the game will be shown on Xfinity channel 255, DirectTV channel 221, or DISH Network 158.
In addition, the league office has also moved up the Nov. 2 contest versus Ball State University to a 6 p.m. start from "The Factory" at Rynearson Stadium. It will be televised by either CBSSN or ESPNU.
EMU returns home Saturday, Oct. 21, for a Homecoming date with Mid-American Conference rival Western Michigan University. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. inside Rynearson Stadium. After 28 days away from "The Factory", the Eagles (2-4, 0-2 MAC) look to get back on track following a 28-27 loss at Army West Point, Oct. 14. Meanwhile, the Broncos (4-3, 2-1 MAC) were clipped at home by Akron, 14-13, in a game that was delayed a day due to excessive rain, Oct. 15.
Fans are encouraged to attend the FREE Lindsay Ell concert and then head into Rynearson Stadium, as the Eagles host the Broncos in Homecoming action. Tickets for the football game are available by calling the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.3669 or by visiting EMUEagles.com/tickets. Fans can purchase adult tickets for $15 in advance or $25 on the day of the game, while youth 12-and-under are just $8.
In celebration of EMU's 97th Homecoming and the 30 year anniversary of the California Bowl, a special group package is being offered, 30 tickets for only $97. Also, available for the Homecoming game is the new Buy Two, Get Two Free promotion. The offer allows fans to get four tickets for the price of two, and as a bonus offer, all single-game ticket buyers can add tickets for the Nov. 2 or 23 games for just $3. These deals are available until Oct. 20.
EMU students continue to gain free admission with a valid student ID, and faculty and staff tickets are only $5 for Homecoming.
