Tennis Wraps Up Fall at ITA Midwest Regional

Mayerova and Martinovska combine to go 1-1 in doubles play
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University tennis team had another strong showing at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Friday afternoon, Oct. 13, at the University of Michigan.
After junior Marie Mayerova (Krmelin, Czech Republic) competed in singles on Thursday and went 1-1, she paired with senior Andrea Martinovska (Plzn, Czech Republic-Sport and Management School) on Friday to go 1-1 in doubles play.
The duo defeated Mid-American Conference adversary Bowling Green, 8-5, before falling to Northwestern 8-2 in the second round.
The tournament concludes the fall season for EMU, who will return to action in 2018.
