Eagle fans can catch 10 home matches during the 2016 season

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Season, group and single game tickets for the 2016 Eastern Michigan University volleyball season are now on sale to see the Eagles and second-year Head Coach Kimi Olson in action at the Convocation Center. The Green and White will give fans 10 chances to watch them play on its home court, two non-conference tilts and eight Mid-American Conference matches.
Eastern opens its 2016 home slate Saturday, Sept. 17, when it co-hosts a tournament with the University of Michigan. The Eagles will welcome Auburn University to the Convocation Center at 7 p.m. before Colgate University comes calling Sunday afternoon, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. to close out the tournament.
EMU will begin MAC play Friday, Sept. 30, when the Eagles host Western Michigan University for a 7 p.m. match at the Convocation Center. In addition, during the same weekend, Sept. 31, EMU will square off with Northern Illinois University at 5 p.m. in Ypsilanti. Following the beginning of the home MAC schedule, the Eagles will rotate weekends on the road and at the Convo.
Friday, Oct. 28, the Green and White will host Ball State University at noon, for an Education Day, where children from local schools will fill the Convocation Center for the Eagles' match with the Cardinals. On the following night, EMU will square off with the University of Toledo at 7:30 p.m. This contest will be the only Saturday match which will not begin at 5 p.m. The Saturday night tilt will follow the Eagles' football game with Miami University at "The Factory" at Rynearson Stadium
EMU will close out the home slate with a pair of matches, Nov. 10-12. Thursday, Nov. 10, the Green and White will take on Central Michigan University at 7 p.m. before hosting Kent State Unviersity Saturday, Nov. 12, for Senior Day. EMU will honor seniors Devon Murray (Shelby, Ohio-Shelby) and Melva Smith (South Holland, Ill.-Thornwood (South Suburban College)) prior to the 5 p.m. match with the Golden Flashes.
Fans can purchase tickets for any home game by visiting EMUEagles.com/Tickets, by calling 734.487.2282 or by visiting the EMU Ticket Office daily between 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Single game ticket prices are just $5 for adults and $3 for youth 12-and-under, while season ticket are $35 for all 10 matches in 2016. Additionally, group tickets are available for groups of 15 or more and are only $3 per ticket.
