Ride the Fan Bus to Kalamazoo to Watch EMU Football

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University football team, fresh off its third straight road victory for the first time since 1967, remains on the road Saturday, Oct. 22, for an in-state showdown with No. 20/20 Western Michigan University.  With the team's growing success, fans are invited to board a bus to ride to Kalamazoo to see the squad play.

The University will be offering bus transportation to and from for 88 (students, fans, faculty and staff), who want a ride to the game at Waldo Stadium. The bus will arrive at the EMU Convocation Center at 11:45 a.m. and depart at 12 p.m.  Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. with the bus departing Kalamazoo 30 minutes after the conclusion of the football game.

Cost to ride is $10 and includes an EMU t-shirt, bus transportation, game ticket as well as a hot dog and chips at the game. Advanced payment is required to board the bus. Tickets can be purchased during the week by visiting the EMU Ticket Office inside the Convocation Center during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.). Ticket purchase and pickup will also occur in the atrium of the Convocation Center, Saturday, Oct. 22, between 11 a.m.–noon. A ticket representative will be present to accept the $10 cash only payment.

Please note, if you are listed as going, we recommend you purchase your tickets in advance at the EMU Convocation Center Ticket Office. This is the ONLY WAY to garauntee you a spot on the bus. Then you will just need to check in at the ticket table Saturday to pickup your ticket.

The Eagles enter the league affair with a 5-2 (2-1 MAC) record and are seeking to become bowl eligible following a 27-20 road victory at Ohio University, Oct. 15. Meanwhile, the Broncos (7-0, 3-0 MAC) are off to their best start since 1941 after a 41-0 shutout of the University of Akron, Oct. 15.

The contest will be televised in 84 different television markets by the American Sports Network with Mike Gleason providing the play-by-play and Brad Jackson serving as the analyst. WEMU (89.1 FM) will provide audio coverage of the game with Matt Shepard and Rob Rubick calling the action on the field.
