The Eagles will head to Toledo on Friday before traveling to Muncie, Ind. for a match with Ball State on Sunday

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team will continue the 2014-15 campaign this weekend when the Eagles (6-12, 2-3 MAC) take on the University of Toledo, April 10 in Toledo Ohio, and then Ball State University, April 12, in Muncie, Ind.

The Rockets (13-7, 3-2 MAC) are entering the match against Eastern after finishing on the wrong end of a 7-0 sweep at the hands of Miami University, April 5. Last season, the Eagles defeated the Rockets by a score of 4-3, starting doubles play with a clean sweep, before Klara Supejova, Diana Daviataia and Zsofia Biro each recorded two-set wins in singles action. In the overall series between the two squads, the Green and White holds a lopsided advantage of 27-8 in the 35 matches between the two squads. The Eagles have dropped six out of the last 10 matches against the Rockets, but look to make it two in a row Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.

Ball State (11-4, 1-2 MAC) will enter Sunday's match following a road dual at Northern Illinois Friday afternoon. The series between the Cardinals and Eagles is also in favor of EMU. Eastern holds a record of 28-7 in the 35 matches in which the two squads have competed. In the last 10 matches that these two teams have met, Eastern has dominated with nine wins, including the Eagles' 4-0 win in the second round of the 2014 Mid-American Conference Championships. In that match, after taking the doubles point, the Green and White quickly took three singles matches to record the necessary four points to move on to the MAC Championship match. Sunday's contest with the Cardinals will be held at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
