Eagles Set to Host Broncos in First Home MAC Match

The EMU women's tennis team is set to take on the Western Michigan Broncos this Sunday
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will continue the 2014-15 campaign on Sunday, March 29, when it squares off with the Broncos from Western Michigan. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. at the Chippewa Club as the Eagles (5-10, 1-1 MAC) look to pick up their second Mid-American Conference victory of the season, while the Broncos (9-7, 1-1 MAC) is looking to grab their second conference win as well.
The Eagles have won just one match in their last 10 with WMU, while the Broncos hold 36-9 edge over the Green and White. However, Eastern Michigan defeated Western Michigan University for the first time since the 2004 season, ending a 12-match losing skid to the Broncos Friday, March 28, 2-14. EMU came back from trailing 1-0 after doubles play to take away a 4-3 decision from Western after Zsofia Biro won in a three set triumph to seal the match for the Green and White.
