YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Following its eighth-straight victory, the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team punched a ticket to the 2015 Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship game for the first time since the 2012 tournament. To celebrate the momentous accomplishment, the EMU Department of Athletics invites alumni, fans and students to send the team off from their hotel, the Marriot at Key Center (127 Public Square) at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning, March 14, as the Eagles attempt to win the third MAC Tournament title in school history.
EMU has secured its spot in the championship game and will take on Ohio University Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. from Cleveland, Ohio. The game will be broadcasted live on Time Warner Cable Sports as well as Buckeye Cable Systems, Comcast Michigan, ESPN3 and ESPN Full Court.
Tickets are still available by going to EMUTix.com or calling 734.487.2282. In addition, Eastern will be running a fan bus for those who want to travel from Ypsilanti to Cleveland to cheer on the Eagles in their final contest on Saturday. To secure a spot on the fan bus, you must purchase your tickets through the EMU Ticket Office.
