Dark Paces Eagles on 3-meter Springboard at NCAA Zone C Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com)—Eastern Michigan University's women's diving team finished up the first day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, competing on the 3-meter springboard.

Lauren Dark (Chelsea, Mich.-Chelsea) was the only diver to advance to the finals round after amassing 284.30 points in the preliminary dives. The senior went on to finish 15^th overall with 576.70 points. Behind Dark in the prelims were Becky Deacon (Sherwood Park, Alberta-Vimy Ridge Academy) in 26^th with 260.35 points, Alli Shereda (Fraser, Mich.-Fraser) with 226.55 points for 36^th, and Karly Taylor (Munster, Ind.-Munster) taking 42^nd with 219.50 points.

The divers will return to action tomorrow, March 13, to compete on the 1-meter springboard at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at the Ohio State University. Live results will be provided through divemeets.com.
