Women's Diving Wraps Up NCAA Zone C Championships

Deacon and Dark represent Eagles in the finals
COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com)—Eastern Michigan University's women's diving team wrapped up its season, with two Eagles in the top-16 of the 1-meter dive at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, March 13.
Becky Deacon (Sherwood Park, Alberta-Vimy Ridge Academy) led the Green and White on the 1-meter springboard, finishing 10th with 584.20 points. Pacing Deacon in the prelims and finishing 14th in the finals was Lauren Dark (Chelsea, Mich.-Chelsea) with 579.75 points. The group was rounded out with Karly Taylor (Munster, Ind.-Munster) collecting 239.40 points and Alli Shereda (Fraser, Mich.-Fraser) ending her freshman campaign with 224.85 points in the event.
With the close of the diving championships, the Eagles have capped off their 2014-15 season, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the 2015 Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 25-28.
