Brad McCaslin exits after two seasons

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University Head Football Coach Chris Creighton announced Tuesday, Dec. 22, that assistant coach/defensive coordinator Brad McCaslin has been relieved of his duties with the Eagles program, effective immediately.

"Coach McCaslin has worked incredibly hard these past two years to make our football program better," Creighton said. "He is an outstanding coach and a great person that has been an integral part in building our solid foundation.  We are now making some schematic changes on defense and with that a change in leadership at the coordinator position.  This has been a very difficult decision.  We wish him and his family nothing but the best moving forward."

McCaslin just completed his second year at Eastern Michigan and his 18th season as a collegiate coach.  He  arrived in Ypsilanti in 2014 after serving as the defensive coordinator under Creighton for two seasons at Drake University.

A national search for a replacement will begin immediately.
