Wrestling Sets Lineups for Tonight's Intrasquad Meet

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team, in an effort to prepare for its first duals on Nov. 7, will hold an intrasquad meet Friday, Oct. 23. The meet will be held at Detroit Catholic Central High School in Novi, Mich. and will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The meet will be preceded by a technique clinic to be put on by the team. Registration begins at 4:30, followed by the clinic which will run from 5-7 p.m. The clinic will include instruction from EMU Wrestling Head Coach David Bolyard, as well as from his staff and EMU student-athletes. The clinic is open to any and all wrestlers.
The cost of the clinic is $35, and the price includes the clinic, attendance for the intrasquad meet, season tickets to all five of EMU's 2015-16 home duals, and a clinic t-shirt.
The intrasquad meet will hold the same format as a regular season dual, pitting the EMU grapplers against each other at all 10 of the collegiate weight classes. The match-ups were determined by preliminary wrestle-offs to be held earllier this week. They are as follows:
Fans who wished to attend but cannot are encouraged to follow the action at the EMU Wrestling Twitter account, @EMUWrestling.
The 2015-16 EMU Wrestling season gets underway Saturday, Nov. 7 with the EMU Duals to be held at the Convocation Center. Eastern will have three duals throughout the day, beginning with Clarion at 9 a.m., followed by Bloomsburg at noon, and ending with Purdue at 3 p.m.
