EMU Football Welcomes Incoming Class to Campus

This past weekend, 30 new Eagles arrived on campus
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University football welcomed 30 new members to the squad as the incoming class arrived on campus over the weekend, June 28-29. The Eagles were introduced to the rest of their teammates before participating in a team wiffle ball tournament at Rynearson Stadium.
The incoming student-athletes started the weekend by moving in to their dorm rooms for the upcoming academic year. Following a team meeting with parents, each future Eagle entered Rynearson Stadium through the tunnel as his name and respective accolades were announced over the speakers.
Once the entire team took the field, the Eagles split up into multiple teams to square off against one another in a wiffle ball tournament. The weekend's festivities concluded with a team barbeque after the competitive wiffle ball action.
Fans can catch the incoming class as well as the rest of the 2014 Eagles for the first time when the Green and White kicks off the season, Aug. 30, versus Morgan State on the new "EMU Gray" FieldTurf inside Rynearson Stadium.
