Rowing Grabs First Dual Victory of 2013-14 Season

The Eagles came up with a victory over Drake at the 19th annual Lubbers Cup
SPRING LAKE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing squad wrapped up competition at the 19th annual Don Lubbers Cup Regatta at the Spring Lake Yacht Club Sunday, April 13.
After a short weather delay, the Eagles picked up their first dual victory of the 2013-14 season, defeating Drake on the water in the Varsity 8 race.
The win not only marked the first of the season for the Green and White, but its first ever victory at the Lubbers Cup in its five years of participation.
Eastern Michigan will be back in the water Saturday, April 19 at a yet to be determined race. Stay tuned to EMUEagles.com for an updated schedule of events.
