EMU Set to Host 2014 MAC Gymnastics Championships

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- All seven Mid-American Conference gymnastics teams will converge on the Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, Mich. as Eastern Michigan University will host the 2014 MAC Gymnastics Championships, March 22. The conference championship meet is set to begin at 2 p.m.
Tickets will cost $10 for adults while youth, senior citizens, and MAC students with a valid school ID will be admitted in for a $5 fee. Seating will be general admission, but fans will be an assigned seating section pre-designated for each competing team.
Once the meet begins, live streaming of the championships can be found at EMUEagles.com/showcase.
The last time EMU hosted the MAC Championships, in 2007, the Eagles protected their territory by claiming the program's first conference crown in 26 years after just one conference win during the season. This season, the Eagles will look for a similar outcome as they enter the meet ranked fifth in the MAC standings with a record of 2-4. Here is a look at the 2014 regular season conference standings.
