COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com)
—Eastern Michigan University's women's swimming team sent a trio of athletes to Ohio State University to compete in the OSU Winter Invite, which completed its first day of competition, Feb. 8. 
 
Emily Wimmer (Hammond, Ind.-Munster) led the way for the Green and White, coming away with a runner-up finish in the 100 breast with a 1:05.54 mark, trailing Penn State's Sarah Somers by a mere .19 seconds.  Following closely behind was Sarah Cameron (Brownstone, Mich.-Carlson), whose time of 1:06.72 earned her the third spot in the race.  Cameron went on to swim a 55.71 in the 100 free.
 
Rounding out the group of Eagles was Abby Aumiller (Canton, Mich.-Salem), who took home fifth in the 100 back after clocking in at 58.52 seconds.
 
The group will continue its competition tomorrow, Feb. 9, at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.  Preliminary rounds will begin at 10 a.m., and live results will be available through OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
