Grateful Giving Week: Eagles Pride Launches New Website

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEaglesPride.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University Athletic Development Office officially launched the Eagles Pride website (EMUEaglesPride.com) Monday, Nov. 24, as a part of Grateful Giving Week in the Department of Athletics. The new site will help both current Eagles Pride donors and prospective donors become more familiar with the most up-to-date information.

Eagles Pride, formerly known as the Athletic Club, is dedicated to providing financial support for the educational, personal and athletic enhancement of more than 500 EMU student-athletes in 21 varsity sports.

"The creation of the athletics development website was a priority because it will serve as a useful and beneficial resource for our EMU Athletics donors, alumni and fans," said EMU Vice President and Director of Athletics Heather Lyke. "We are certain our donors will appreciate the one-stop accessibility of information, convenience of online giving and ease of navigation the site offers."

"EMUEaglesPride.com is going to be a tremendous communication tool for our Development office to connect with current donors and prospective donors of EMU Athletics," Associate Athletic Director for Development Dan McLean added. "The ability to showcase our champion student-athletes and make a case for support in a bold and visual way, paired with the ease of giving online is a big step for us. Donors should anticipate fresh content throughout the year and updated information as we continue to build the Eagles Pride giving program."

EMUEaglesPride.com focuses on important details related to annual contributions, premium seating, parking, endowments and various donor events as well as ways to get involved in supporting EMU student-athletes. Contact information for member of the EMU Athletic Development staff can be found on the site, and in the future, look for a capital project component will be added as well.

The website was built on a responsive framework, meaning that no matter the device you are viewing EMUEaglesPride.com with you will enjoy the same experience, rich with colors and the same design style.

Designed in tandem with SIDEARM Sports, EMUEaglesPride.com is built as a complementary site to the primary EMU Athletics homepage, EMUEagles.com. Eastern Michigan and SIDEARM Sports have been in collaboration since 2005, also having teaming up for the earlier fall release of EMUGameDay.com.

Your donation will go directly to the team you choose to support or the general Eagles Pride fund if designated – it's your call! Giving to Eagles Pride supports student-athletes through academic support, facility enhancements, equipment upgrades, technology advancements, strength & conditioning, athletic training & nutrition, travel assistance and other essential operating expenses.

Donations can be made at any time, divided into multiple installments, automatically deducted from your debit or credit card or tailor-made to fit your budget and specific needs.

Grateful Giving Week is Nov. 24-28 and is intended to give thanks to "the team behind our teams." Each day of the week, there will be a new story and an opportunity for us to say thank you. The week will culminate with a gathering before the final regular season football game versus the University of Toledo to show our gratitude.
