ShopEMU Offers New Option for Signing Prospects

As National Letter of Intent signing season continues forward for some teams, and April 17th kicks off a new signing period for others, it's worth mentioning the new EMU retailer on the block, ShopEMU. ShopEMU is the official outfitter of EMU Athletics and offers a wide selection of EMU licensed apparel. Most importantly, it offers a wonderful location to send the parents of signees who would like their son or daughter to put on an item of officially licensed EMU apparel during their signing day event.

As EMU staff are aware, the following NCAA bylaw prohibits coaches and staff from sending any apparel items to a prospective student-athlete for this purpose:

        13.2.1.1 Specific Prohibitions. Specifically prhobited financial aid, benefits and arrangements include, but are not limited to, the following:
        ...

        (b) Gift of clothing or equipment

        ...
