EMU Set To Host 2013 MAC Soccer Tournament

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University soccer team, the 2013 Mid-American Conference regular season champions, will host the semifinals and championship of the 2013 MAC Tournament at Scicluna Field. No. 1 seeded EMU will battle No. 4 Western Michigan University at 11 a.m., Nov. 8, in the first semifinal contest. In the afternoon session of the semifinal doubleheader, No. 2 seeded Miami University and the No. 6 seed Ball State University will tangle at 2 p.m. for a spot in the championship game. The winner of both games will come back to Scicluna Field Sunday, Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. with the MAC Tournament Championship and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth on the line.
Ticket Information: Tickets will be sold each day of the tournament. Adult admission is $10 per day while youth tickets will be sold for $7. All students that present a MAC institution ID will be permited in free of charge.
Parking Information: Soccer fans will be able to park free of charge in the Multi-Purpose Indoor Practice Facility parking lot on Westview Street off of Huron River Drive. Once parked in the Indoor Practice Facility lot, fans can walk past the Claudia Wasik Tennis Complex and practice fields to Scicluna Field. Seating will be allowed on the east side of the field as well as on the north hill. Limited bleacher seating is available.
Media Credentials: Requests should be directed to Adam Kuffner at 734.487.0317. All credentials must be picked up in person. Credentials are available for pick up at the entrance with ticketing.
Media Hospitality: The hospitality area will be located in the lobby of the Indoor Practice Facility on Friday while there will be a hospitality tent at the field on Sunday. This area is restricted to each team's staff (e.g., coaches, trainers, SIDs), working press and officials. Water, snacks and fruit will be provided. The hospitality area will be available one hour before the start of the first game and up until halftime of the second game.
