Wrestling Releases Draws For Annual Green and White Match

Eagles will also host a clinic for wrestlers, grades 6-12 before the annual Green and White match
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team will host its annual Green and White match, Saturday, Nov. 2 in Bowen Field House, following the EMU Wrestling Clinic.
The EMU coaching staff and team will be conducting a clinic for all wrestlers, grades 6-12 ,from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Bowen Field House before the start of the Green and White match.
The Green and White match will feature the EMU wrestling squad facing off against each other to jump start the 2013-14 season. The match is set to start at noon in Bowen Field House.
"I am excited to get this year started with our annual Green & White match. We are fortunate to have depth at a lot of our weights, including some very talented newcomers, so there will be several really good matches. I hope all of our supporters come out to help us get this season jump started," stated Head Coach Derek DelPorto.
The cost for the camp is $20 if pre-registered and $25 at the door. Preregistration can be done by emailing Coach DelPorto at ddelport@emich.edu. The price of the clinic includes: a slice of pizza and a drink, one ticket to the Green and White match following the clinic and one ticket to the EMU vs. Stanford match, Sunday, Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
The Eagles kick off their 2013-14 regular season, Saturday, Nov. 9 when they travel to East Lansing, Mich. for the MSU Open.
