Eagles Look to Remain Undefeated at Ball State

EMU set to tangle with Cardinals, Jan. 19
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team will hit the road this weekend as it heads to Muncie, Ind. Saturday, Jan. 19, to take on Ball State University in a Mid-American Conference dual-meet. Action inside Lewellen Aquatic Center is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
The last time EMU and BSU swam against each other was during the 2010-11 campaign. Eastern fell to the Cardinals, 156-144, Oct. 30, 2010. Briana Emig led the way for the Eagles, taking first in three events. She dominated in the 1,000 freestyle as her time of 10:24.40 was good for first place. Emig also was first to touch the wall in the 200 freestyle at 1:52.89. In the 500 freestyle, she captured yet another top finish with a time of 5:02.52, placing her ahead of teammate Samantha Partridge who took second in the event at 5:09.39.
Eastern had won six straight dual-meets against Ball State prior to the 2010-11 season. The Eagles are also looking to remain undefeated this season.
