Eastern tennis earns the win in the season-opening meet
LINCOLN, Neb. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team was able to build from a productive fall season and use that experience to its advantage as the squad opened the 2013 season Friday, Jan. 11, with a 7-0 win over the University of Nebraska-Kearney at the Nebraska Tennis Center.
"This was a good opening match for us," said Head Coach Ryan Ray. "We got a few kinks out, and will look to improve against Nebraska tomorrow. I credit Kearney's team for putting up a good fight."
The Eagles will return to the court Saturday, Jan. 12, when the team travels to will take on the University of Nebraska.
