EMU Football Fans Invited to Vote for Oct. 13 Uniforms

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Head Football Coach Ron English and the Eastern Michigan University football team have invited Eagle fans to help decide which uniforms EMU will wear for the Oct. 13 home contest against the University of Toledo. Fans may vote for one of four uniform combinations and one of three helmets. Voting will conclude on Friday, Aug. 31, with the winning combination to be unveiled prior to kickoff.
Fan voting will take place on Eastern Michigan University Athletics' Facebook and Twitter sites, as well as EMUEagles.com, the official website of Eagle Athletics. To add extra incentive, one lucky fan selected at random will receive a replica of the winning helmet design.
A green or gray jersey choice is available for the Eagles to wear at home. The green home jerseys feature the traditional "EASTERN MICHIGAN", in white letters, across the front of the jersey, while the gray jerseys features "EAGLES" in green, outlined in white. Per NCAA rules, the Eagles' white jersey can only be worn on the road.
The three pant options include green, white and gray. All three will feature the Block E at the left hip.
Fans may also select one of three helmets for Eastern Michigan to wear in the season opener. The traditional green helmets with the Block E, matte gray helmets that feature a green Block E or the matte white helmet with a green Block E.
The Eagles will open their 121st season on the gridiron Thursday, Aug. 30, at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Ind. against Mid-American Conference foe Ball State University. Football season tickets are on sale now for as low as $48, and can be purchased by calling the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.2282.
