YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Three former Eastern Michigan University football players have been invited to rookie mini-camps with NFL teams. Bridger Buche (Portland, Mich.-Portland), Brad Ohrman (Adrian, Mich.-Adrian) and Willie Williams (Los Angeles, Calif.-Dorsey-Glendale J.C.) will attend camps with the San Diego Chargers, Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively.
Buche started 10 games this season on the EMU offensive line, helping the Eagles to the 16th-best ground attack in the nation. A major factor on the line, he assisted protecting the quarterback, allowing 19 sacks which was the fifth fewest in the MAC and 45th nationally. Additionally, EMU was one of just two schools in the MAC to boast three players that averaged more than 50 yards per game on the ground.
Ohrman started all 12 games for the Eagles and 34 in his career. The Second Team All-MAC selection had 52 tackles (19 solo, 33 assists) to go along with 5.5 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery. He finished with a team-best 8.5 tackles for a loss of 52 yards, ranking fourth in the MAC in sacks and 87th nationally. Named 2011 Mid-Season All-MAC by Phil Steele, Ohrman had 2.5 sacks for 20 yards against Alabama State (Sept. 10) and recorded his first career interception against Penn State (Sept. 24). He was also named the MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 12, after tallying eight tackles (2 solo, 6 assists) in the Eagles' 30-17 victory over Buffalo (Nov. 12).
Williams started all 12 games for the Eagles in the secondary and posted 82 tackles (33 solo, 49 assists) to go along with 8.0 tackles-for-loss, three pass breakups and one quarterback hurry. The Los Angeles, Calif. native recorded 8.0 tackles for a loss of 22 yards and 10-or-more tackles in three games, including contests at Toledo, Oct. 8, and Central Michigan, Oct. 15. The senior ranked 22nd in the MAC in tackles and 23rd in tackles-for-loss.
