Rowing Wraps Up Fall Campaign at the Head of the Hooch

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University rowing team closed out the fall portion of the 2012-13 campaign at one of the most challenging regattas in collegiate rowing. The Eagles were among the more than 1,600 boats racing at The Head of the Hooch, Nov. 3-4, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
EMU's best finish occurred when the novice-4 placed second in the event, winning the team's only medal of the weekend. The University of Tulsa bested the Eagles by 33 seconds. The runner-up showing marked the Green and White's first-ever medal taken at the Head of the Hooch, the second-largest regatta in the country.
In the women's championship 8+, Eastern Michigan placed 20th and 26th out of 30 boats.
