Eagles Wrap Up at Len Paddock

Chris Scott finishes fourth in 200 and 400 with PRs in each
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the Len Paddock Invitational today, May 7, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., with Chris Scott performing well in multiple events.
Scott, a first-year sprinter, placed fourth in two races. In the 400-meter dash, Scott ran a time of 48.14, a new personal-best in the event for the newcomer. He also placed fourth in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 21.49, good for another collegiate best for the young sprinter.
Four Eagles competed in the long jump, with Arron Davis having the best overall finish in the event, taking fourth with a jump of 21-05.50. Danny Ngo was just after Davis, as his jump of 21-01.50 was good for fifth. Finishing sixth and eighth, respectively, were Anthony Bradley and Heritier Ndele.
In the 100-meter dash, senior co-captain Clint Allen ran a time of 10.63 for a fourth-place effort. Austin Hendrix was the Eagles' other top-five finisher, as his time of 1:53.25 in the 800-meter run was good for fifth place in deep, competitive field.
The Eagles will now embark on adding to the program's rich history as the team travels to Northern Illinois in Dekalb, Ill., for the Mid-American Conference Championships from May 12-14. EMU will look to repeat as outdoor champions after taking their 21st Outdoor MAC Championship in 2010 in Buffalo, N.Y.
