Football Spring Practice Update

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – With the Eastern Michigan University football team just past the midway point of the spring practice schedule, Head Coach Ron English spent a few minutes talking with Greg Steiner following the Saturday, March 26, practice inside the Indoor Practice Facility.
English commented on the tempo of practice, the continued progression of the program and many other topics.
“(The offense) moved the football and then they got hit quite a bit, and that's why they fumbled the ball three times. So I was pleased with both the offense and defense,” English said.
“The issue offensively is we moved the ball, but we only scored twice. We really shot ourselves in the foot because we had procedures and turnovers.”
Overall, English said he is pleased with the progress he's seeing as the team prepares for its April 10 spring game.
“I like the intensity, I like the team, I like the culture in the locker room,” he said. “We just need to finish this thing strong.”
