EMU SQUARES OFF WITH VIRGINIA TECH: The 2011-12 Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team stays on the road for the second game in the last three days as the Eagles are slated to play the Virginia Tech University Hokies Thursday, Dec. 22, at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburgh, Va. Eastern began its two-day trip to Virginia with a 52-48 win at Radford University Tuesday, Dec. 20. Senior guard Quintin Dailey (Las Vegas, Nev.-Bishop Gorman-Sheridan C.C.) led the Eagles with 13 points, including 3-of-4 three-point field goals.The Hokies are currently 9-3 and fresh off an 84-55 win over a visiting North Florida squad Monday, Dec. 19.
ABOUT THE HOKIES: Virginia Tech University is located in Blacksburg, Va. The school has an announced enrollment of 31,000 and the chicago maroon and burnt orange Hokies are a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the program is directed by Head Coach Seth Greenberg. The Hokies' home court is Cassell (pronounced CASTLE), Coliseum.

SUDDEN IMPACT: EMU big man Da'Shonte Riley (Detroit, Mich.-Country Day-Syracuse U.) began his Eastern career in September with the thought that he would have to sit out the 2011-12 season as a transfer from Syracuse University. Riley was
offi cially awarded an eligibility waiver by the NCAA this past week and played in his fi rst game for the Eagles Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Radford. The 7-foot Riley responded with eight points and four rebounds in his EMU debut.
Q STRIKES DEEP: EMU senior guard Quintin Dailey (Las Vegas, Nev.-Bishop Gorman- Sheridan C.C.) scored a career-best 13 points, including making three triples to lead the Eagles to a 52-48 win at Radford Tuesday, Dec. 20.
