EMU STAYS ON THE ROAD FOR BGSU TILT: The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team will be on the road for the second straight game when the Eagles travel to Bowling Green, Ohio Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, for a 3 p.m. game against the Bowling Green State University Falcons. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Anderson Arena. The game will mark EMU's final appearance in Anderson as the Falcons are slated to move into The Stroh Center in time for the start of the 2011-12 season. The EMU-BGSU game will be part of the Coaches vs. Cancer event held nationwide.

EMU VS. BGSU: EMU and Bowling Green will be meeting for the 83rd time in men's basketball history and BGSU has a 44-38 edge in the series.

THE TEAMS: EMU enters Saturday's game with a 2-4 Mid-American Conference record and a 5-14 overall mark after a 79-65 loss at Ohio University Wednesday, Jan. 26.
BGSU is currently 4-2 in league action and 9-11 overall after a 70-64 win at Toledo, Tuesday, Jan. 25.

FAMILIAR FACE ON THE SIDELINES: When the Eagles play at Bowling Green Saturday, Jan. 29, there will be a familiar face on the Falcons' bench. BGSU Assistant Coach Lamonta Stone served as an EMU assistant coach from 2000-02. The 2010-11 season is Stone's seventh year at BGSU.

SETTING A LOW MARK: The 79 total points scored in EMU's 41-38 win over CentralMichigan Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, marked the lowest two-team total points in the 13-year history of the Convocation Center, breaking the mark of 88 set in a 46-42 Ball State win over the Eagles, Jan. 10, 2009. EMU's 41 points in Sunday's game ties the home Convo record from a 78-41 loss to Akron, Feb. 3, 2009. CMU's point total of 38 is the second lowest for an opponent in the Convocation Center, trailing only Rochester College's 29 total points in an 89-29 loss to EMU, Dec. 7, 2004.

BLOCK PARTY: Sophomore Jamell Harris (Euclid, Ohio-Euclid) has recorded 47 bloocked shots this season, the seventh-best single-season effort in school history. Harris has played in 50 career games, earning 11 starts. His 69 career blocks ties him with Calvin Warner (1998-2000) for the seventh spot in EMU history.

CONVO MARKS TIED: Several EMU Convocation Center records were tied during the Eagles' battle with Northern Illinois Tuesday, Jan. 11. EMU sophomore guard Derek Thompson (Detroit, Mich.-Melvindale-SEMO) tied the arena record for three-point field goals with eight. That mark tied EMU's EMU's Ricky Cottrill (12-1-01 vs. Tennessee Tech) and Marshall's Ronald Blackshear (3-3-03 against EMU). The Eagles made14-of-32 triples, tying their own record of 14 threes, set in that same Tennessee Tech contest in 2001.
