Mike Marrow Joins EMU Football Program

Offensive back transfers from the University of Alabama
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Mike Marrow, a member of the University of Alabama's football team for the past two years, has joined the Eastern Michigan University football program as a transfer. He will begin practice with the team immediately.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pound Marrow is from Holland, Ohio and played his senior year at Toledo's Central Catholic High School were he was ranked as the No. 2 overall fullback in the nation by ESPNU. He was listed as the No. 11 fullback by Scout.com and 15th by Rivals.com after rushing for 893 yards on 175 carries while scoring 11 touchdowns for Central Catholic in the 2008 season. Marrow played his junior year at New Albany (Ohio) High School where he rushed for 810 yards with five touchdowns.
Marrow signed a national letter of intent to attend Alabama and redshirted as a freshman in 2009. He did not play for the Crimson Tide in their first two games of the 2010 season.
Marrow is the son of Vince Marrow, who played eight years in the NFL, including being part of two Super Bowls with the Buffalo Bills. Vince went on to coach at the University of Toledo and is now an assistant coach for the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.
