EMU Wrestling Volunteers at Local Community Service Center

Several Eagle wrestlers recently volunteered time to Ypsilanti's Crisis Center
Ypsilanti, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team has recently done its part of helping out in the community. Over the course of three Mondays in the month of July, several members of the team volunteered their time at the local Crisis Center in Ypsilanti.
Their duties included unloading trucks of food, bagging and separating the food into distribution amounts, organizing and shelving food for those in need, and contributing in the clean-up as well.
“We wanted to make sure that EMU wrestling was here to support the community like we would want them to support us,” Head Derek DelPorto said. “Every summer we try to dedicate a few weeks to try and help out in the community.”
