Eagles Close Out the Season in Tennessee

The rowers of EMU close the 2009-10 season
Knoxville, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) – The women's rowing team of Eastern Michigan University wrapped up its 2009-10 season Sunday, May 16, at the 14th Annual Aramark Sprints in to Knoxville, Tenn.
After rowers Kristen Schmidt, Lauren Foley, Michelle Dahnke and Jennifer Shanafelt# posted the team's first ever non-last place finish in the varsity 4+ boat at the Aramark Sprints by finishing before Southern Methodist University on Saturday, the women pulled a repeat and were again able to edge out SMU.
The Eagles' other two boats didn't fare as well, however, as both the varsity 8+ and the second varsity 8+ each finished in last place. The varsity 8 had a time of 7:18.24 while the second varsity 8 finished in 7:32.35.
