PHILADELPHIA, Pa./HILLSDALE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team is spread out over two venues this weekend, April 22-24, and as day two of the Penn Relays wrapped up for part of the squad, day one of the Hillsdale Relays got underway.
At Hillsdale, the day was highlighted by 8th-place finishes by Tiffany Kincaid and Dejaa Shearer in the 10,000-meter run and the 400-meter hurdles, respectively. Ervanlie Bazile also posted a 5th-place finish in the long jump.
At the Penn Relay, the foursome of Ashlee Abraham, ReJeana Marigna, Margaret White and Naomi Andre finished fourth in the heat leading up to the 4x100 relay with a time of 45.30. The 4x400-meter relay team is in the second alternate position for the final on Saturday night. If the team runs in the final, it would be pitted in a race just before Olympic runner and "fastest man in the world" Usain Bolt is set to run.
