Clair Ends Collegiate Career at NCAA Championships

Senior grappler goes 1-2 in first action on national scene

OMAHA, Neb. (EMUEagles.com)—Eastern Michigan University senior wrestler Sean Clair (Turtlecreek, Pa.-Plum) has been eliminated from the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships Friday, March 19, with an 11-1 setback against Matthew Fisk of Lehigh University. Clair finished 1-2 in his first trip to the national tournament.

Clair began the competition Thursday, March 18, with an opening round loss to No. 1 ranked Jason Ness from the University of Minnesota at 133 lbs. Ness pinned Clair at the 2:12 mark of the match. Then in the wrestleback round, Clair bounced back to defeat Alex Radsky of Davidson College, 4-1, to earn a match with Fisk on day two.
