Eagles post a 5-2 victory over the Bearcats
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team continued its dominance over the University of Cincinnati with a 5-2 non-conference victory Saturday, Feb. 13, here at the Chippewa Racquet Club. With the victory, the Eagles improve to 12-1 all time against the Bearcats.
"I am happy to get out with a win tonight," said Head Coach Ryan Ray. "We've had alot of sickness and injury over the past two weeks, and those ladies all fought hard tonight through it. Cincinnati gave us a good battle throughout. I'm pleased we swept the doubles, and now the main focus will be to get healthier this week before we travel to Nebraska."
Eastern Michigan is now 2-4 on the young season, while Cincinnati drops to 1-4.
