Women's Tennis Adds Two for 2009-10 Campaign

Head Coach Ryan Ray adds Julia Breuss and Celine Donnet into the mix
YPSILANTI, Mich. — Eastern Michigan University women's tennis head coach Ryan Ray announced that Julia Breuss (Dornbirn, Austria) and Celine Donnet (Hemiksem, Belgium) will join the program for the 2009-10 season. Both will have freshman eligibility.
"Julia and Celine are both very talented tennis players," exclaimed Ray. "They should help solidify a very deep lineup for us this year. I'm very excited they have chosen to become Eastern Michigan Eagles, and cannot wait for their arrival on campus."
Breuss was the 679th ranked junior in the world according to the International Tennis Federation. She was also ranked in the top five juniors in Austria and in the top 25 standing in the women's rankings. Additonally, Breuss is a three-time state champion.
Donnett currently holds a Belgim rating of B-15/1 and was ranked in the top 10 among juniors.
The duo joins an Eastern Michigan squad that returns six student-athletes from 2008-09 that recently earned the distinction of being an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, July 24. The Eagles posted a team grade point average of 3.40 to earn the honor for the fourth-straight year.
