Former EMU Football Player Andrew Wellock Named to All-Decade Team

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Andrew Wellock (WELL-ock), one of the top place-kickers in Eastern Michigan University football history, was named to the Mid-American Conference All-Decade Football Team (1999-2008) chosen by CBSSports.com.
Wellock, a product of Green High School in Green, Ohio, earned four letters for the Eagles (2003-06) and finished his career as the career leader in field goals (69), and holds the top two single-season marks in history with 21 three pointers in 2004 and 18 in 2005. He was a first-team All-MAC kicker three straight seasons (2004-06) and was a third-team All-American on the 2004 Associated Press Division I team.
In addition, Wellock was a runner-up for the Lou Groza Award, which is given annually to the top kicker in the NCAA FBS ranks, in 2004.
