Eagles Picked to Finish Fourth in MAC

The Eagles were picked to finish fourth in the MAC's preseason poll.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its preseason poll for women's soccer today, Aug. 19, and Eastern Michigan University was picked to finish fourth by the league's head coaches.
The Eagles also received one vote to win the MAC Tournament, while the defending champions from the University of Toledo received 10 votes and were tabbed as the preseason favorites to win the MAC.
The Eagles return 16 letter-winners, including eight starters, from last year's squad that made it all the way to the MAC Tournament title game, while losing just four letter-winners, including three starters. The Eagles finished 6-2-3 in the regular season last year, tied for second in the MAC.
The team opens up its regular season Friday, Aug. 28, when they host Eastern Illinois University at 4 p.m. at Scicluna Field.
